LaunchBuddy privacy policy
Privacy Policy
Effective June 25, 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how LaunchBuddy (operated at launchbuddy.com) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the website, the free site scan, and our launch and brand kits (together, the "Service"). LaunchBuddy helps founders generate launch assets from product inputs, URLs, uploaded files, and brand direction.
Last updated: June 25, 2026
This is our real, binding privacy policy, written in plain language. It is not legal advice. If you have questions about how your data is handled, email support@getlaunchbuddy.com.
What data we collect
We collect information you provide directly, including: the email address you enter when you start a scan or create an account; the website URL you submit to be scanned; intake answers and the materials you submit to create a kit (product descriptions, URLs, uploaded files, and selected brand directions); payment information processed through Stripe (we receive confirmation and billing metadata, not your full card number); and the content of support messages you send us. We also automatically collect usage and technical data such as device and browser type, referrer, landing page, UTM parameters, advertising click IDs, IP-derived coarse location, event names, and timestamps. We use cookies and similar technologies to enable the Service and to measure performance, as described below. Support messages you send to support@getlaunchbuddy.com are used to answer questions, debug issues, and improve the Service.
How we use data
We use the information we collect to: run the free site scan and generate your launch and brand kit; provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service; process payments and prevent fraud; communicate with you about your scan, purchase, account, and support requests; understand how people find and use the Service; measure and optimize our marketing and advertising; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your private product content.
AI processing and generated content
LaunchBuddy uses AI and automation providers to analyze the materials and URLs you submit and to produce landing pages, ad copy, visual and video concepts, metadata, and other launch assets. Please do not submit secrets, private credentials, health records, financial account data, or other sensitive content that is not needed for your managed growth workspace.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
We do run analytics and advertising technologies, and we want to be honest about it. We use cookies and similar identifiers together with third-party tools to understand traffic source, funnel, and conversion performance, and to run and measure advertising. These include PostHog (product analytics), the Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram advertising and conversion measurement), and Google Ads (advertising and conversion tracking); we may also use Google Analytics. When these pixels or conversion APIs are enabled, they may receive event names, timestamps, page URLs, advertising click IDs, device context, and purchase-related conversion metadata. Where practical, we keep raw private product content in our own first-party systems and send only metadata-style events to these platforms. You can limit cookies through your browser settings and use platform-level ad and tracking controls; doing so may affect some Service functionality.
Third-party processors and providers
We rely on trusted third parties to operate the Service. Depending on which features are configured, these include: Stripe (payment processing); Resend (transactional and support email); Supabase and other Postgres-compatible database hosting; Vercel hosting and Vercel AI Gateway; AI and image/video generation providers such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Imagen, Ideogram, and fal.ai to generate deliverables; and analytics and advertising platforms including PostHog, Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Meta. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security practices, and we may add or change providers as the Service evolves.
How we share data
We share information with the service providers listed above to operate the Service, with analytics and advertising platforms as described, and as required to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the public. If LaunchBuddy is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy. We do not sell your personal information for money.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, support customers, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, and improve LaunchBuddy. Retention periods vary by data type; for example, we keep billing records as long as required by law and may retain generated kits so you can access them. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit and access controls, and we work with reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique credential and tell us at support@getlaunchbuddy.com if you suspect a security issue.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of certain advertising and analytics. To exercise any of these rights, email support@getlaunchbuddy.com and we will respond within a reasonable time and as required by law. You may also manage cookies and ad tracking through your browser and through the ad platforms directly.
Children
The Service is intended for adults using it for business purposes and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact support@getlaunchbuddy.com and we will delete it.
International users and transfers
LaunchBuddy is operated from the United States, and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate legal bases and safeguards for international transfers. If you are in the EEA, UK, or a similar regime, we process personal data to perform our contract with you, with your consent (for example, for certain advertising cookies), to comply with legal obligations, and for our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves or as required by law. When we make material changes, we will update the effective and "last updated" dates above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
